By picking up marbles and fabric with your toes you strengthen all those tiny Intrinsic muscles in your feet. This increases balance, strengthens the form of your arch, and preserves your muscles' elasticity.
How to strengthen arches, toes, and alleviate some pain.
Slowly going from a flexed toe to a pointed toe, pressing into the theraband, strengthens multiple muscles from your knee to your toes. This is especially beneficial to keep you from getting fatigued while dancing in heels.
