Dance Congress March 12, 2010

Each year on the Wednesday evening before the U.S. National Amateur DanceSport Championships, sanctioned by the NDCA, BYU invites ballroom professionals to teach for half an hour each.

This year we were given the pleasure of listening to Ron Montez talked about important technical and non-technical aspects of Ballroom. Olga Foraponova, who spoke brilliantly on connection and how to define and take care of your partner. Wendy Johnson who said quote "I can talk the leg off an iron pot!" just after she explained that Ron had given her half hour of instruction first. At the end we listened to five of the judges answer questions that the audience had requested earlier.

I wrote notes as quickly as I could. Most of the information Brian and I know, we simply think of it as common knowledge, but we want to make sure you know all the little things as well. I sometimes wonder if Brian thought I was crazy to write most of what I recorded. Chuckle. I think you'll benefit anyway.
